As the owner of the Clinical Center for Learning and Development in Kalamazoo, Laurie has presented approximately 500 workshops for teachers, parents, diagnostic staff, therapists and counselors to provide insight and understanding of children with attention and mood disorders.  She also works extensively with adults who struggle with Mood and Anxiety Disorders as well as AD/HD.

For nearly 30 years Laurie has been using her formal education, parenting experience and pure instincts to touch the lives of  children, parents and adults. Her clinical experience has taught her that these children need a multidimensional treatment plan and she advocates working together with teachers, parents, physicians, and therapists so that each child receives the best we have to offer. The adult patients in her practice also appreciate and benefit from her ability to recognize emotional pain and address this with the honesty and caring they deserve.
